Local authorities confirmed the death of a 20-year-old boy who fell from a building near the Pyatnitsky highway in Moscow. The Russian investigation committee said in a statement that the man who died on the spot for the wounds.
Authorities also said they were trying to determine the exact circumstances of the death, but several of their friends were present at the apartment and witnessed the tragic incident.
The Russian Chess Federation expressed "his sincere and deep condolences to the family and loved ones of Yuri Eliseev".
