Such an unmanned aircraft could contain pieces that the United States does not allow to export to Russia.
The US embassy wants to see if the device actually had such components, as a preliminary investigation showed that the dron had an American camera, technology that needs authorization from Washington to be transferred.
Last week, Mendvédev traveled to the region to visit Palestine and Israel and celebrate 25 years of re-establishing relations with the latter.
During the tour, he met with the Minister of Agriculture, Uri Ariel, who during the visit to a technology center showed him the apparatus destined for agricultural use valued at 50 thousand dollars. Suddenly he asked the Russian if he wanted and he said yes, local media said.
The sudden gesture could provoke diplomatic frictions between Israel and the United States, since the US Maintains sanctions against Russia for its stance in Ukraine and prevents transfer of technology for military and civil use.
