Why did the plane that led to Chapecoense crash?

The Bolivian airline plane carrying 77 occupants LAMIA crew crashed Monday night leaving at least 71 dead .

What happened?
The plane took off from Viru Viru International Airport in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, at 6:18 pm local time, according to air traffic controller Manuel Palamas.
The Avro RJ85 was on its way to Medellin, where the Chapecoense team, which was on board, would face the National Athletic Club in the Copa Sudamericana final, when it crashed near Rionegro.
The plane declared an emergency when it was flying between the municipalities of La Ceja and La Unión, according to Colombian aeronautical officials.
The images of the incident show the damaged and broken fuselage.
The accident occurred in an area called Cerro El Gordo, near the capital of Antioquia, Medellín.
For their part, satellite images show that there were rains and storms in the region in the last 12 hours, although there were no strong wax storms or in the area, according to CNN meteorologist Michael Guy.
They are likely to face some turbulence in the region due to thunderstorms and mountain winds in the area, Guy says.
In a statement from the José María Córdova International Airport, it is stated that the site of the accident can only be landed due to weather conditions.
The Colombian Air Force had to cancel a mission due to inclement weather conditions, according to officials from that country.
